1985 Interlake Chicago Bulls
A Boy Scout promotion featuring an early Michael Jordan card!
I've been told that the 1985 Interlake Boy Scouts Chicago Bulls team set only consists of 2 cards, one being Michael Jordan, and the other Orlando Woolridge. However, I have only ever seen the Michael Jordan card.
These cards are approximately 5"x7" inches in size, and are printed on thin, semi-glossy card stock, with blank backs. The player's photo has rounded corners and a red border on white card stock. The players information is beneath the photo, where it shows the players name, height, and position. On the lower left front of the card is a circle with the Boy Scouts logo inside the circle. On the lower right side of the card is another circle with the words "An Interlake Youth Incentive Program" printed inside the circle.
Apparently, these cards were given out in the fall of 1985 at a dinner sponsored by the Chicago Bulls for the Boy Scouts, and Michael Jordan was the guest speaker.
The Michael Jordan card has been counterfeited, and supposedly the counterfeits are very glossy and are cut slightly smaller than the real cards. The print quality may be lower as well.
