1987 Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Baseball Cards
Home Plate Heroes
In 1987, on the back of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese boxes, were printed two-card panels from a set titled "Home Plate Heroes" that featured a selection of 48 different star players. However, there were several different panel combinations for each player, for a total of 120 panels in each "panel set". The individual cards measure approximately 2 1/4" by 3 1/2" in size, and there are two cards on each panel. The player's team logo has been airbrushed off of each card due to licensing issues. It's not easy to find these cards in top condition, as the panels were printed close to the edge of the boxes, and as a result many cards were creased or dinged.
